Steffanie is a Chicago based Acrylic and Watercolor artist with a mixture of a contemporary and abstract style. Her main focus is to bring texture and movement into every piece she does, no matter how simple or immersive the art is.

Originally from Iowa, she comes from a very long line of artists on both sides of her family which gave her the nudge to start creating. Studying Fashion Merchandising and Journalism at Iowa State University, she started becoming enamored with fashion and sales.

Moving to Chicago after graduation, she activated her journey. Working for top fashion brands, such as Prada, Rag and Bone and Bonobos - she wanted to venture out to the wholesale side of clothing. Learning the ins and outs of trade shows and working with multiple brands and manufacturers. Things were going well…then the pandemic hit.

After losing her beloved position and seeing the fall of the retail industry, she reignited her passion for art and has loved creating new and original work ever since. Creating and selling scores of pieces of original material for clients, Steffanie has enjoyed pushing her creative boundaries in her portfolio work and creating uniquely tailored pieces for her clients.

Empathetic, detail oriented, and innovative are a few of the adjectives that describe when working with Steff Jo Designs. No commission is too small or too big for this Midwest girl. She looks forward to continuing her path as an up and coming influential artist.
